Collections Supervisor
As a collections supervisor, you will oversee a unit of approximately 10 to 15 collectors, ensuring their unit objectives and standards are met. You will analyze statistical data relative to unit productivity and effectiveness, monitor live calls, conduct account reviews and provide feedback to staff regarding their performance. You will coach your staff, provide advice and answer questions concerning collections activities, review the status of the most delinquent accounts and handle escalated collection calls. In addition, you will review credit re-contracting agreements and fees waive recommendations. It will be your responsibility to advise your staff of any change in policy or procedures, to allocate resources, plan work schedule, and assign work. You will assist in recruiting, hiring and the training and orientation of new staff members, conduct performance reviews and make recommendations regarding corrective actions and dismissals.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum five years collections experience (typically at least two years' experience as a senior collector or collections team leader)
- At least 2 years of Collections Supervisory / Management Experience (with responsibility for the supervision, performance management, training and development of staff members)
- At least 2 years experience in training and coaching (including side x sides and silent monitoring) of new and active employees.
- Strong knowledge of account work review auditing and ability to communicate feedback effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Automated Dialer Systems – Dial Connection preferred
- Federal/state regulations and/or the Fair Debt Collection Protection Act knowledge
- Familiarity and ability to train on all aspects of skiptracing, including utilization of various skip software such as Accurint, 411, White Pages, etc.
- Excellent supervisory, communication and negotiating skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment and assume new tasks as necessary, nights and weekends required.
