IS Business Applications Manager

Job Description

Partner with internal business and dental office operations experts to proactively identify, define, test, and roll out new business information systems technologies and processes to streamline operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-own assigned applications, with the application developers, within the I.S. department.
  • Identify and document the business value of applications.
  • Create business specification documents.
  • Guide programmers in their development and enhancement of applications.
  • Plan and execute application and data testing.
  • Create end-user documents and support documents.
  • Deploy applications and provide follow-up support.
  • Transition production support tasks to the IS Help Desk.
  • Alert business and IS Operations regarding issues.
  • Follow through on application usage and effectiveness after deployment.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management, including assisting other IS employees in carrying duties.
  • Participate cooperatively and collaboratively with a commitment to promote the success of the entire IS team.
  • Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Credentials and Other Requirements
 

  • Must have at least 3 years professional experience in a Dental operations environment.
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Information Systems, Management, or equivalent.
  • Sufficient technical and operations understanding to lead team in development of requirements specifications, problem analysis, escalation and resolution.  Able to mock-up UI’s (screens and reports) to communicate functional design. Ability to document expected user to system interaction and usage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, relationship skills, and organizational skills.
  • Available to travel and work occasionally on-site at nearby dental offices, as needed.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Must be able to learn new applications and integrate them in to work processes in a timely manner.
  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
