Center Manager
Western Dental's Center Managers ensure that all business aspects of Western Dental's general dental or orthodontic centers function in an orderly and efficient manner.

These managers help establish and maintain an organized, well-run, viable practice that offers high-quality treatment, outstanding service and a positive work environment.
Center Managers also manage front office and back office auxiliary staff and emphasize teamwork, training and efficiency.
Back Center Staff
Registered Dental Assistant
Western Dental's Registered Dental Assistants perform their responsibilities within the scope of dental auxiliaries and as defined by the California and Arizona Dental Practice Acts.
Western Dental's RDAs are responsible for maintaining excellent communication with our doctors and assisting them in all aspects of patient care.
All Western Dental RDAs must have current RDAs licenses and current CPR certification.
Dental Assistants
Western Dental's Dental Assistants perform their responsibilities within the scope of dental auxiliaries, as defined by the California and Arizona Dental Practice Acts. They are responsible for maintaining excellent communication with our doctors and assisting them in all aspects of patient care.
All Western Dental DAs must have current CPR certification.
Floor Supervisors
Western Dental's Floor Supervisors ensure that all aspects of the dental center's back treatment area function in an orderly and efficient manner. They coordinate back office staff, patient flow, operatory assignments, dental assistant assignments, sterilization compliance procedures, X-ray operations and the ordering of dental supplies.
Sterilization Clerk
Western Dental's Sterilization Clerks perform their sterilization responsibilities within the dental treatment area, according to the standards stated within the Office Policies and Procedures Manual of Western Dental. This includes responsibilities for ensuring that equipment inspections, operatory maintenance, OSHA compliance, and sterilization and disinfection procedures are conducted to their highest standards.
X-Ray Technician
Western Dental's X-Ray Technicians are responsible for the use of Rinn Holders, full mouth x-ray criteria, daily opening procedures, patient seating procedures, doctors ordering x-rays criteria, anterior and posterior x-ray criteria, film placement bitewing criteria, periapical radiographs, after taking x-ray criteria, developing criteria, mounting criteria, chart documentation criteria, processor maintenance, wash/dry rack disassembly criteria and unacceptable x-ray results. These criteria may be referenced in the X-Ray Technician Training Manual.
Front Center Staff
Receptionist
Western Dental's Receptionists are responsible for greeting and signing-in patients, plus scheduling and confirming appointments. Duties include customer service, scheduling, answering telephones and conducting other office procedures.
Insurance Consultant
Western Dental's Insurance Consultants are responsible for all insurance billing and follow-up. These consultants are trained in insurance benefits, coverage principles and processing claims.
Denti-Cal Consultant
Western Dental's Denti-Cal Consultants are responsible for dental billing related to the Denti-Cal program of California. Arizona does not have a dental welfare program. Responsibilities include processing, eligibility, billing, preautorizations and follow-up.
Treatment Coordinator
Western Dental's Treatment Coordinators are responsible for all follow-up relating to patient accounts. This includes treatment consultations, patient follow-up calls, the recording of fees and payments, and the reviewing of all credit charts with outstanding balances.
Laboratory Technician
Western Dental's Laboratory Technicians perform a variety of dental laboratory duties involving dentures - including pouring of impressions, bites and tryins. Laboratory Technicians are responsible for custom trays, repairs and working with doctors to achieve the best possible result for each case.
